Check Phone Status
After you login, you will be connected to DSG ITIf your
Internet connection is down, the status button will show
OFF in red color. To resume your coSP Network. On DSG
SoftPhone your status button will display ON in green
color. nnection, click Options and select Connect. You
have to be on-line to place calls.
On S200 USB Phone, when you are connected to PC, the
LED labeled ‘power’ is on. When you are
connected to DSG ITSP Network, the LED labeled ‘ready’
is on.
DSG SoftPhone offers PC-to-Phone and PC-to-IP Modes. In
PC-to-Phone Mode, you can to place calls to any regular
phones in the world within services coverage areas. In
PC-to-IP Mode, you can place calls to other DSG VoIP devices,
such as DSG SoftPhone, IPStar, InterStar, InterPhone,
IP770 or IP870 using their IP addresses. To switch between
these two modes, simply click on the operation mode icon
or click Options and select Set Call To Phone/IP.
Making PC-to-Phone Calls
First of all make sure you are in PC-to-Phone mode. Enter
the country code, area code and phone number of the party
you wish to call.
• To place a call
from USB Phone S200, dial remote party’s country
code, area code and phone number and press Talk button.
For example, to call 1 (USA country code)-212(area
code)-5551234 (phone number), dial 12125551234 and press
Talk button to call.
• To place a call from DSG SoftPhone, enter
the country code, area code and phone number you want
to call and then click Dial. For example,
to call 1 (USA country code)-212(area code)-5551234 (phone
number), enter 12125551234 and click Dial.
Making
PC-to-IP Calls
Make sure you are in PC-to-IP Mode and you have the IP
address of remote party’s DSG VoIP device with you. Notice
that the IP address you wish to call must be a public
IP address.
• To place a call from
USB Phone S200, dial the remote party’s IP address,
separating the IP address sections with a “*”
sign, and press Talk button.
For example, to call an InterStar IP
address 192.168.1.1, dial 192*168*1*1 and press Talk button.
• To call a DSG VoIP device from DSG SoftPhone,
enter the remote party’s IP address separating the
section with a “.” key. For example,
to call a DSG SoftPhone IP address 192.168.1.1, enter
192.168.1.1 and click Dial to call.
Note:
To know your PC’s IP address, from DSG SoftPhone,
click Options and select My IP Address to view your IP
address.
